Who We Are

Max Kapur, editor, is Seattle: a quarter Indian and in love with coffee. He is currently an undergrad at USC studying jazz piano and Korean. His work lives at maxkapur.com and has appeared here and there.

Elisa Shimada, editor, is a painter and poet raised in LA County. Her mother is full Native Hawaiian, and her father is half Japanese, half Mexican. She is an undergrad at USC studying Sociology and Social Science with an emphasis in Psychology. One of her passions is outreach for Latino Students with Latino Student Fellowship, or LaFe.

Ha Young Park (Young Park), editor, was born and raised in South Korea. She is majoring in design in the Roski School of Art and Design at USC. She is always looking for inspiration, from everywhere, everyone and everything. Her biggest motivation is believing in this: “Can Dream it, Can Do it.”

Suraj Partha, editor, is a sophomore in the Jazz Studies program.

Luke Van Lant, editor, is a writer and musician from Long Beach, CA. He is an undergrad at USC studying English, Spanish, and Jazz Studies. His work has appeared in Instability and Introspection and he has two self-published zines under the name Mus Excape.

Kanak Kapur, editor, was born in Mumbai, raised in Dubai and currently lives in Los Angeles. She is currently majoring in English at USC.
