Submissions

Macro seeks original artwork and writing in any medium that engages the international nature of USC's community. Our general submission guidelines are as follows:
  • Writing does not need to be in English, and inclusion of a translation is at the author's discretion. That said, submissions in languages other than those spoken by our editors and friends cannot be considered without a translation. If you choose to submit a piece with an English translation to assist our editors but want the translation to remain unpublished, just let us know.
  • Submissions are open to anyone affiliated with USC who feels that their voice is relevant to Macro's mission, regardless of country of birth or citizenship. We're pretty casual about this.
  • Artwork, music, essays, poetry, sculpture ... if you can email it, we'll consider it! Please limit yourself to five pending submissions at any time.
  • Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please inform us promptly if your work is published elsewhere.
  • We will let you know within six weeks if we choose to publish your work.
If you're ready, email us your work at uscmacro@googlegroups.com.

Please format your email with the word SUBMISSION, your name, and the type of submission (e.g. poetry). If you are submitting multiple types of work, send a separate email for each type. In the body of your email, please include a brief bio and attach your submission as a .doc(x) file (for written pieces) or high resolution .jpg (for visual artwork). For audiovisual submissions, include a link to YouTube, Vimeo, or similar.

We eagerly await your work!
